Model and storage come first
An iPhone Pro and Pro Max, or a Galaxy and its Ultra version, are different models. The quote should match the phone you own and its total storage. A headline offer for another configuration is not an offer for every device in the range.
Appearance and functionality are different
Light marks are different from a cracked display, a camera fault or an intermittent charging problem. Use the descriptions in the quote tool and include known issues. A phone can look excellent but still need a functional repair.
Market values can change
Compare the quote available when you are ready to sell, not an old screenshot or a resale listing for a different grade. Buying prices and refurbished retail selling prices describe different transactions and should not be treated as interchangeable.
An online quote is based on your description
Inspection checks the actual device against the information supplied. If a difference affects the valuation, the published trade-in terms explain the revised-offer process. Read that process before posting, including how a return is handled.
Compare the whole offer
Look at the amount, shipping arrangements, inspection process, payment method and support together. Tracked postage does not automatically mean insurance. A trade-in offer does not need to be tied to buying another phone.
Choose the right time for you
Make sure you have transferred the data you need and can be without the device. Do not erase or post a phone you still rely on for access to important accounts. A clear handover is worth more than rushing through an inaccurate description.
Buyaphone trade-in terms
Device menus and service availability can change. Follow the manufacturer’s current instructions and the terms supplied with your actual trade-in.
