Trade-in termsHow does selling my phone work?
Choose the device you have, answer the storage and condition questions, and review your quote. To continue, you then provide your contact and return-address details. We inspect the device in Dublin before confirming its final value.
Do I have to buy a replacement phone?
No. This is a cash trade-in service, not a discount tied to another purchase. You do not need to buy a phone or take out a contract with us.
How do I send my phone?
Our existing Irish trade-in service provides a free An Post label. Follow the instructions supplied with your order, pack the device securely and hand it over at a Post Office. Keep the receipt and tracking reference.
Is the quote the final payment?
Your online quote is based on the details you provide and is subject to inspection. If our inspection finds a difference, we contact you about the revised value before proceeding. Read the trade-in terms for the complete process.
What happens to my personal data?
Back up anything you need, remove linked accounts and erase the device before sending it. Never share an Apple or Google password, device passcode or online-banking login with us. Our preparation guides link to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Can I sell a damaged or locked phone?
Some devices need an individual assessment rather than an instant quote. Contact us about faults or damage. Account and management locks must be removed by the rightful owner. Do not post a device with a swollen, leaking, overheating or damaged battery.
Where is Buyaphone.ie based?
Buyaphone.ie is a trading name of WJD Repairs EU Limited, registered in Ireland under company number 709998. Our Dublin operation handles the trade-in process.
Does every trade-in support Dublin Zoo?
The conservation contribution applies to qualifying trade-ins through the Dublin Zoo campaign, not automatically to every direct Buyaphone order. Use the official Dublin Zoo campaign page for its current contribution and donation options.
