On an iPhone, check Settings, General, About and read the model name. For Android, look for About phone in Settings; the exact location depends on the manufacturer. Keep suffixes such as Plus, Pro, Pro Max, Ultra, FE and XL. They can identify different devices with different values.
Use total capacity, not available space
A phone with 256 GB of total storage is still a 256 GB phone when most of it is full. Available or free space is not the capacity to select. Check the device storage information rather than the amount of space remaining in your cloud account.
Do not guess from the case or camera layout
A case, replacement housing or similar camera arrangement can make models difficult to tell apart. The box is useful only when it belongs to that device. Check the model information on the device and use the manufacturer’s identification guidance when needed.
Check tablet and console variants separately
For an iPad, generation and Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity can matter as well as storage. For a console, distinguish the edition and any required accessories. Do not choose a phone or tablet entry merely because the name sounds close.
